Leizer was burned on 79% of his body with 3rd degree burns! He was flown from Israel to Cincinnati, Ohio where he is being treated at the world renowned Shriners Burn Center For Children.Less then 2 weeks after Leizer arrived here, at Shriners Hospital, he celebrated his 6th birthday. The nurses threw a big birthday party in which Leizer was able to participate from the door of his room. He was very touched and excited!
Leizer is now breathing on his own and although he is very heavily medicated he is fully aware of his surroundings when awake! Leizer has been going through many surgeries but is holding out strong! He is now able to drink small amounts of liquid and at times is able speak a little. This past Friday was the first time that Leizer was able to leave his room (in a wheelchair). All the nurses were cheering him on and gave him a huge round of applause.
